A newer offering for Carter Cellars, is a Merlot based wine from Suscol Mountain married with Cabernet Franc from Sage Ridge perched above Lake Hennessey. The Daze has a dark inky color, matched with dark red and black fruits, kirsch, lavender and savory fresh earth. The palate is full-bodied and long, supported by fine-grained tannins and loads of freshness – give this wine a try and you will be rewarded with a pleasure attack on your senses.
"The 2022 'The Daze' is composed of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Offering inviting aromatics showcasing luscious blackberries, black cherries, and a touch of boysenberry, complemented by accents of exotic spices, tobacco and crushed violets and subtle hints of vanilla bean emerge, adding layers to its aromatic complexity. On the palate, it delivers a bold, full-bodied experience, with concentrated flavors of ripe fruit balanced by refreshing acidity and a touch of minerality framing the long finish.
