we’re not sure exactly where this quality originates-perhaps in the earth and sun of our low yield vineyards, or in the touch of our masterful winemakers -whatever it is that gives Carter Cellars wines the ability to stir the passions and overwhelm the senses.

Carter Cellars Current Releases

The Carter Cellars 2010 vintage possesses our signature qualities of bright fruit with intense structure and age worthiness, alongside a deep and true representation of the vineyards from which they were sourced.  We were gifted with a talented winemaker, Mike Smith, who maximized the potential of the cool growing season and a long, mild summer.  Our grapes were harvested fully ripe before the heavy October rain storms which preserved their finesse and deep concentration.

This vintage we were able to release our third Cabernet bottling from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard ‘The Three Kings’ to incredible feedback from customers and trade alike.  Stephen Tanzer even called this our finest release to date. In addition to this new wine we also released our flagship Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet 'The O.G.', our Napa Valley favorite Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet 'The Grand Daddy,' a powerful Coliseum Block Cabernet, a deep and rich Hossfeld Red Blend and our Truchard Vineyard Merlot.
